The safety and wellbeing of Detroit’s young children and their families are of vital importance to all Detroit Head Start providers. The current COVID-19 coronavirus has everyone in the state taking extra care to keep all citizens healthy. All Detroit Head Start agencies are following the governor’s order to “Stay Home. Stay Safe.”
We know this is a challenging time for families. Head Start agencies, their teachers, and specialists continue efforts to support families in the community. Please keep in touch with your agency. Also, many Detroit organizations are working in a number of ways to provide resources and at-home learning opportunities. (See links below.)
All Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms remain closed until further notice.
